PhD Student Session and Symposium
MJCAI 2009 invites graduate students to submit one-page abstracts of their thesis for possible inclusion in the MJCAI 2009 PhD Student Symposium. All registered participants are welcome to attend the session.
The Symposium provides an opportunity for Masters and PhD students to discuss and explore their research interests and career objectives with their peers and with a panel of established researchers in Artificial Intelligence, helping to develop a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research.
All accepted students are invited to give a five minutes presentation of their work on Wednesday, 15th July 2009, from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. The panel will eventually discuss each work and give advises to the student. All students are encouraged to attend and participate in the Symposium, whether or not they apply to present their work. We envision participants gaining as much by interacting with their peers as by having their presentations critiqued by the faculty panel.
Each abstract will be reviewed by the program committee members. Presenting students will be selected based on clarity of the submission, stage of research, and evidence of promise such as published papers or technical reports.
Submission guidelines:

- Prepare up to five slides for presentation. Accepted formats are PDF and Powerpoint.
- Submission deadline for the PhD Symposium is extended 15th June 2009, submit your abstract to Dr Mohammad Reza Beik Zadeh via email at mohammad.reza@mimos.my
