Second PhD Symposium 

The PhDSymp2010 Program Committee invites submission of Abstract for the Second PhD Symposium(PhDSymp2010 ) The purpose of the Symposium is to promote research in all areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and scientific interchange among AI researchers and practitioners. This symposium is hosted by University Malaysia Sarawak and MIMOS BERHAD, and will be co-located with other events taking place during the Knowledge Technology Week at Damai Beach Resort, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
 

PhD Symposium 2010

PhD Student Symposium invites graduate students to submit one-page abstracts of their thesis for possible inclusion in PhD Student Symposium. Each abstract will be reviewed by the program committee members. Abstract will be selected for presentation based on clarity of the submission, stage of research, and evidence of promise such as published papers or technical reports. Students of accepted abstracts will be invited to give a five minutes presentation and discussion about their work on Thursday, 29th July 2010.

The PhD Symposium provides an opportunity for Masters and PhD students to discuss and explore their research interests and career objectives with their peers and with a panel of established researchers in Artificial Intelligence, helping to develop a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research.

All graduate students doing research is any aspects of Artificial Intelligence are encouraged to register and attend and participate in the Symposium to gain as much by interacting with their peers as by having their presentations critiqued by the faculty panel.

Submission guidelines:
A one-page abstract of your thesis should give information about the main objectives and challenges of your project as well as the research approach and methodology used. Moreover, explain your current state of project and results. Highlight the research challenges you are facing.
Prepare up to five slides for presentation. Accepted formats are PDF and PowerPoint.
