ICT with extra intelligence

The Knowledge Technology Cluster focuses on R&D activities in Semantic Web and Semantic Technologies for the purpose of developing a reusable Semantic Technology Platform for deploying Intelligent Software Applications. Adopting the principles and best practices of advance Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Management, Knowledge Modelling and Knowledge Engineering, the MIMOS Intelligent Applications are developed in various sectors, including Agriculture, Health and Medical Education, Economics, Islamic Finance, Government and Education.

With the rapid growth of the Linked Open Data, also known as the World Wide Semantic Web of Data, enormous and ever increasing amounts of data will be accessible in the future. Developing semantic technologies to intelligently consume and process these extremely very large datasets will essentially determine the level of intelligence of software applications of the future.
