WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT
Human activities are rapidly changing the planet. As humans who benefit from the rapid development, we are partially responsible for the climate changes such as global warming and natural disasters. These issues can be tackled by focusing on advanced environmentally efficient product design which is widely referred to as the Green Technology.
The field of “green technology” entails a continuously evolving group of methods, materials as well as the techniques required to generate new form of cost-effective, clean, renewable energy sources to producing non-toxic cleaning products. The present expectation is that green technology will bring innovation and changes in our daily life just like how “information technology” exploded over the last two decades and impacted our ways of working in many aspects.
Green Technology is expected to help accelerate improvement in current areas such as Environmental conservation, green transportation system, carbon economy, green eco-system management, pollution control, renewable energy sources as well as disaster management.
WHY THE NEED FOR ‘GREEN TECHNOLOGY’
It is all about sustainability – meeting the needs of society in ways that can be maintained the future without damaging and sacrificing the depleting natural resources. In other words, we are trying to meet our current needs and requirements of human beings from the naturally available and abundant resources, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
On top of that, it also complements the efforts of the government to preserve the environment and sustain availability of natural resources for future generations.
