Strengthening Islamic digital economy

MIMOS has entered into a tripartite collaboration with SEGi University and RM Applications Sdn Bhd to establish the nation’s first Islamic Centre for Emerging Technologies (ICET) to champion research and development programmes and training on Islamic finance. The centre will pilot research initiatives on innovative chatbots and Artificial Shariah Intelligence.

The partnership will see SEGi University serve as a knowledge and content partner; MIMOS as technical partner, and RM Applications act as content, implementation as well as product commercialisation partner.

Strengthening Islamic digital economy

MIMOS’ Centre of Artificial Intelligence for Future Industry (CAIFI) will work with SEGI’s ICET in Islamic fintech by developing a platform that integrates AI chatbot to analyse available Islamic scriptural and fatwa sources for the purpose of providing knowledge advisory and assistance regarding Shariah compliance.

The collaboration aligns with the national strategy to develop Islamic banking and finance for financial inclusion and for Malaysia to be a leader in Islamic finance by leveraging emerging technologies like AI.
