Job Purpose
The Head of Investment, Finance & Portfolio Management will be responsible for leading strategic investment planning, portfolio optimization, and financial governance across MIMOS Holdings and its subsidiaries. This role includes oversight of portfolio performance (IP, tech, business), execution of joint ventures (JVCo), and assessment of commercialization investment pathways to ensure sustainable return on innovation. A key expectation is to generate income and revenue streams for MIMOS Holdings through investment and portfolio strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead capital planning, investment structuring, and strategic funding execution.
2. Oversee the development of business cases, due diligence, and financial modelling.
3. Supervise performance monitoring across IP, technology, and business portfolios.
4. Guide JV formation including governance alignment, term negotiation, and partner evaluation.
5. Review reinvestment and divestment strategies aligned with organizational goals.
6. Coordinate integrated portfolio dashboards and reporting to the Board.
7. Liaise with internal (Finance, Legal, R&D) and external stakeholders (MOF, potential investors).
8. Drive initiatives that generate new income and enhance the financial sustainability of MIMOS Holdings.
Qualifications, Work Experience and Skills
- Possess Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Professional Qualification
- Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
Relevant Work Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance, investment, corporate venture, or related fields.
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated track record in JV structuring, IP commercialization, and financial governance.
- Strong understanding of public-private partnerships and capital deployment strategies.
- Proficient in financial due diligence, ROI modelling, and risk-adjusted analysis.
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
