The festive spirit of Deepavali was clearly present at MIMOS through the Group Corporate Human Capital (GCHC)’s Deepavali Cooking Challenge. This fun and friendly cook-off was organised to foster togetherness, creativity, and cultural appreciation among colleagues.
Five teams, each comprising three MIMOSians from various departments, gathered to showcase their culinary skills. All necessary ingredients and cooking utensils were provided, challenging the teams to rely purely on their expertise to prepare a traditional Deepavali treat from a selection that included Murukku, Omapodi (Sev), Masala Vadai, and Achappam (Rose Cookies).
The challenge was filled with laughter, friendly rivalry, and the wonderful aroma of festive snacks. The competition culminated in the selection of a winning team by fellow MIMOSians who acted as judges.
The triumphant dish was the Masala Vadai, expertly prepared by the team known as the Vadai Sisters. Their culinary excellence earned them a prize of RM300 cash. This event successfully promoted a vibrant and collaborative workplace culture, ensuring that the joy and richness of the Deepavali season were shared by the entire MIMOS community.
