Executive Digital Designer

Job Purpose

The Multimedia Designer is responsible for conceptualizing and executing high-quality visual content that translates MIMOS Berhad’s complex R&D innovations into accessible, engaging, and “viral-ready” digital assets. The primary goal is to elevate the brand’s presence across social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook) through innovative graphic design, motion graphics, and short-form video editing that resonates with both stakeholders and the general public.

Accountability:

• Content Creation & Ideation: Collaborate with the social media team to brainstorm and develop visual “hooks” and narratives for daily postings, integrated campaigns, and corporate milestones.
• Visual Storytelling: Translate technical whitepapers and deep-tech achievements into easy-to-digest infographics, carousel posts, and interactive stories.
• Video Production & Editing: Execute end-to-end production for short-form video content (Reels/TikToks), including basic filming, color grading, sound design, and trend-aligned editing.
• Brand Stewardship: Ensure all digital assets strictly adhere to the MIMOS corporate identity guidelines while maintaining a fresh, modern aesthetic suitable for social media.
• Asset Management: Maintain an organized digital library of raw footage, project files, and final exports to ensure efficient workflow within the Corporate Communications unit.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest design trends, platform algorithm changes, and digital tools to ensure MIMOS remains at the forefront of Malaysian tech communication.

Qualification

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Design, Multimedia

Work Experience

• Fresh Graduate or 1 year experience.

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite Mastery: Expert proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro/After Effects.
• Mobile Editing Tools: High proficiency in mobile-first editing software (e.g., CapCut) for rapid content deployment.
• Motion Graphics: Ability to create 2D animations and kinetic typography to make technical data more dynamic.
• Photography/Videography: Basic knowledge of lighting, framing, and capturing high-quality raw footage for corporate social media use

Core Competencies

• Creative Agility: The ability to pivot styles based on the platform (e.g., professional for LinkedIn vs. energetic for TikTok).
• Attention to Detail: Precision in typography, layout, and technical accuracy—crucial when representing national-level R&D.
• Strategic Thinking: Understanding the “why” behind a design, ensuring every asset contributes to the overarching communication goal or KPI.
• Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and taking constructive feedback from the social media and corporate comms leads.
