Keeping kindy children safe amid pandemic

After almost four months of home-based learning due to Movement Control Order (MCO), MIMOS’ on-campus kindergarten finally opened its door on July 6 with strict standard operating procedures observation.

Since the government announced that pre-schools and kindergartens were allowed to resume operations from July 1, Tadika MIMOS has taken precautionary measures to ensure the safety of children amid Covid-19 pandemic.

Measures like temperature checks, frequent hand-washing and sanitising; observing physical distancing and adhering to mask wearing were being integrated into school life to train kids adjust to the new normal.

Upon arrival, the children will have their temperatures checked by the teachers. Those with temperature of 37.5℃ and above or with COVID-19 symptoms would be denied entry.

Tables and chairs in the classrooms were rearranged with 1-metre distance while floors were marked with red lines for physical distancing.

Children were also advised to wear mask and bring their own water bottle.

The moves reflect MIMOS’ continued commitment in creating a safe and healthy environment while providing high quality early childhood education for the little MIMOSians.
