On 2 October 2025, the MIMOS Technology Preview (MTP) 2025 was launched by Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof bin Apdal, marking MIMOS Berhad’s 40th Anniversary. Under the theme 'Excellence with Values,' the MADANI Business Awards recognised more than 50 top leaders and companies for their commitment to responsible and value-driven business.

On 3 September 2025, MIMOS Berhad marked a significant advancement in its operational excellence by launching two pivotal initiatives designed to institutionalise innovation across the organisation. The MIMOS Innovation Policy was formally introduced to establish a unified, strategic direction for management, centred around six core principles, including Value Creation, Strategic Alignment, and Open Collaboration.

A significant milestone was achieved at the ASEAN Technology Cooperation and Development Summit 2025, on 25 November 2025, when MIMOS and Intrinsic SEA formalised their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement marked a noteworthy step towards strengthening technology innovation, expanding industry capabilities, and accelerating the adoption of advanced digital solutions across the entire ASEAN region.

Malaysia’s digital ecosystem is set to gain a major boost as SNS Network (M) Sdn Bhd, a unit of SNS Network Technology Berhad, entered into a strategic joint venture with MIMOS Holdings Sdn Bhd (MIMOS Holdings) and Kelab Kebajikan dan Rekreasi MIMOS (KKRM) on 15 October 2025 to establish MIMOS Network Sdn Bhd (MIMOS Network), a new company focused on digital quality assurance and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services.

MIMOS has significantly expanded its commitment to both national talent development and cutting-edge technology through the formalisation of two key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in November 2025. On 17 November 2025, MIMOS Services and the Pusat Pembangunan Kemahiran Sarawak (PPKS) formalised a powerful partnership laser-focused on strengthening talent development and enhancing technical capabilities across Sarawak.

The MIMOS Town Hall Q4 2025 offered an energetic look at the organisation's current success and future direction. As MIMOS approaches the end of a pivotal year, the town hall provided a comprehensive overview of recent developments and celebrated significant key accomplishments. More importantly, the session outlined the forward-looking priorities for the organisation, clearly defining the path forward as MIMOS closes out 2025 and prepares to tackle the challenges and opportunities of the new year.

On 9 December 2025, MIMOS held a candid Ask Me Anything (AMA) session hosted by Chairperson, Dr Jasmine Begum, in the Tengku Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen Auditorium. This forum was a significant step in establishing a culture of open dialogue and transparency, designed specifically to reassure MIMOSians that the leadership team is actively listening and committed to structural and process improvements necessary for the organisation to move from a ‘survival mode’ to a ‘thriving mindset.’

The final quarter of 2025 saw MIMOS operating at an intense pace, hosting a high-impact series of international and strategic industry engagements that solidified our position as Malaysia’s premier R&D hub. Our facilities became a focal point for global collaboration, welcoming key delegations from Asia and beyond, including Kyung Lim Holding (South Korea), IEC Japan, and the China IT Delegation, all aimed at exploring technology transfer and R&D partnerships in areas like AI, Smart Factory solutions, and Graphene applications.

The final stretch of September saw MIMOS playing host to several highly distinguished figures, reinforcing our position at the intersection of technology, national policy, and international diplomacy.

MIMOS’ influence in the future of the digital economy was front and centre at the 6th Bloomberg ASEAN Business Summit on 27 October 2025, where Mr Azhar Abu Talib, CEO of My Blockchain Infrastructure Sdn. Bhd. and CTO of MIMOS Technologies Sdn. Bhd., took the stage. As part of the highly anticipated panel discussion, ‘Blockchain Now and Next,’ Mr Azhar provided key insights on how distributed ledger technology is rapidly evolving from a theoretical concept to a real-world engine of change.

MIMOS and the Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance (MSCA) successfully hosted a dynamic Smart City Solution Showcase & BizPitching event right here at MIMOS Berhad on 18 September 2025. This high-energy event was a major highlight, bringing together industry leaders and featuring an impressive delegation of 10 innovative Canadian companies, including firms like Illumia Lab, OpenText, and Reliable Controls.

On 9 September 2025, MIMOS Services hosted a highly impactful and inspiring event, the ‘AI Developer Forum: Empowering Developers with Artificial Intelligence,’ at the MIMOS Tengku Dr Mohd Azzman Shariffadeen Auditorium. This forum successfully gathered a concentrated group of innovators, developers, and key industry leaders to delve into the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence.

On 15 October 2025, MIMOS successfully arranged a workshop on ‘Shaping the Future of Supercomputing,’ uniting a diverse group of experts, leading researchers, and industry representatives. The goal of this high-level assembly was to strategically discuss the evolution and massive potential of High-Performance Computing (HPC) within Malaysia.

MIMOS recently hosted a timely event called the BCM-ISMS Awareness Talk on 25 September 2025, designed to highlight the indispensable connection between resilience and security in the modern digital age. As technology continues its rapid advancement, the landscape of digital threats evolves with equal speed.

MIMOS played a key role in global capacity building by successfully hosting an intensive Wafer Fabrication Training Programme for a delegation from the Centre for Development of Advanced Technologies (CDTA), Algeria, which concluded with a closing ceremony on 7 November 2025.

MIMOS demonstrated its proactive commitment to national policy alignment by participating in the APM Webinar: Budget 2026 – Policy Insight on 22 October 2025. This session provided invaluable, in-depth perspectives on the strategic direction of Malaysia's Budget 2026.

MIMOS hosted a highly insightful session, ‘Quantum Thinking for You and Me,’ delivered by MIMOS’ Board of Director, Dr Azman bin Hussin, on 3 December 2025. The talk brilliantly leveraged the complex principles of Quantum Physics, like Superposition, Entanglement, and Tunnelling, and translated them into actionable metaphors for leadership and digital strategy.

The MIMOS Junior Academy (MJA), operated by Tadika MIMOS, continued its commitment to holistic learning by orchestrating engaging experiences outside the conventional classroom. On 10 October 2025, 26 preschoolers embarked on an educational school trip, accompanied by three teachers and one intern.

The spirit of adventure and national pride ran high among MIMOS staff and alumni, driven by the activities of the Kelab Kebajikan Rekreasi MIMOS (KKRM).

On 25 September 2025, MIMOS gathered for a heartfelt send-off, celebrating four distinguished colleagues who were closing their chapter of dedicated service and moving on to their well-deserved retirement: Mohd Fauzi Azam, Nora’sah Abdul Rashid, Ir Badrul Zaman Adnan, and Haslina Jalaluddin.

MIMOS hosted a spiritually enriching event for the MIMOS community and the MIMOS Junior Academy (MJA): the Ceramah Maulidur Rasul 2025 on 25 and 26 September. The event was held to commemorate the birth of the Great Prophet Muhammad SAW and featured special guest speakers, PU Lokman and Daqmie.

The Kelab Kebajikan Rekreasi MIMOS (KKRM) and the Group Corporate Human Capital (GCHC) team actively worked to foster community engagement and support local commerce through a series of internal market events.

The festive spirit of Deepavali was clearly present at MIMOS through the Group Corporate Human Capital (GCHC)’s Deepavali Cooking Challenge. This fun and friendly cook-off was organised to foster togetherness, creativity, and cultural appreciation among colleagues. Five teams, each comprising three MIMOSians from various departments, gathered to showcase their culinary skills.

MIMOS marked its 40th Anniversary with a special celebration that fused fun, fitness, and core organisational values: the Integrity Treasure Hunt & Amazing Race 2025. Organised collaboratively by the Integrity & Ethics Unit (IEU) and the KKRM Sports Recreation & Culture Bureau, this event brought together 60 enthusiastic MIMOSians, who were divided into six teams representing their Sport Houses: Red Titans, Thunderclaw, and Sonics.
