Malaysia Introduces Madani TVET Portal and Establishes New MoUs to Propel TVET

TVET Madani Portal Launch Ceremony and Exchange of Memorandum of Cooperation Between the Government together with Government Linked Companies (GLCs) And Private Companies were held on 27 June 2023 at the Everly Putrajaya Hotel. The signed Memorandum of Cooperation will be a platform for cooperation covering all Public Skills Training Institutions under 12 Ministries with GLCs and private companies based on the suitability of the field and scope that is mutually agreed upon.

Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, presided over a meeting focused on the National Technical and Vocational Education and Training Council (MTVET) Bill 2/2023. The gathering brought together ministers from 12 Ministries associated with Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Shaping Malaysia’s TVET Framework

The session delved into strategies for the ongoing enhancement of Malaysia’s comprehensive TVET framework. This encompassed the targeted streamlining of TVET programmes within each respective Ministry, aligning them with demand and market trends.

MIMOS, positioned as a strategic entity within MOSTI and serving as the national centre for applied R&D, undertake a pivotal role in shaping curricula to enhance TVET in light of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). In the face of the global adoption of 4IR, the demand for adept individuals well-versed in 4IR technologies has surged. MIMOS has been instrumental in propelling TVET advancement through a range of comprehensive initiatives.
