MIMOS reaffirmed its position at the forefront of innovation at the recent 36th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2025. MIMOS secured an impressive 21 accolades for all its submitted innovations, a remarkable achievement that included 17 Gold and 4 Silver medals. This outstanding performance culminated in two of the exhibition’s most prestigious honours, the Malaysia Innovative Product Award (MIPA) and the coveted PATRON Award, bestowed upon MIMOS for achieving the highest number of Gold wins.
Among the trailblazing Gold award-winning innovations were a System and Method for Defect Detection Based on Synthetic Defect Images for manufacturing, a Non-Invasive NIR Glucose Detection (REVA In-Vitro) for needle-free monitoring, and advanced Digital Twin and 3D Simulation for Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).
Notable Silver medalists included UGV Occupancy Mapping Using Aerial Data and a Modular IoT-Enabled Egg Incubator for SME Poultry Producers. This resounding success at ITEX 2025 reflects MIMOS’ core mission as a strategic agency under MOSTI, committed to catalysing the commercialisation of high-impact technologies and accelerating Malaysia’s digital transformation, ultimately solidifying the nation’s position on the global technology map.
