Project Engineer

Job Purpose

Responsible for coordinating all project elements including technical design review & validation, quality planning, deployment and montiroing as well as ensuring the project meet the programme requirements. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning

• To review the engineering deliverables by system integrators.
• To support design, development, and/or analysis on assigned projects.

2. Execution

• Performing cost–benefit analyses to determine whether requirements are best met by manual, software, or hardware functions; making maximum use of already matured and developed components.
• Direct project correspondences by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes and emails.
• Review the engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions throughout the duration of the project
• Tracks submittal process timely.
• To prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the project to ensure it adheres to project requirements & objectives.
• Perform site visits during project deployment for project validation & verification.

3. Communication

• Communicate with system integrators/manufacturers to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives
• Coordinate with different internal stakeholders i.e. Legal, Project Management Office, Finance and other related.

4. Documentation

• Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored
• Produce regular progress report and other project document.

Qualifications

• Possess Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology and any other related academic background.

Relevant Work Experience

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experiences in Information Technology, Manufacturing, and any other related fields.

Technical Skills

• Prior experience in project management position.
• Prior knowledge in I4.0 technology solution deployment for manufacturing productivity and efficiency improvement.

Soft Skills

• Communication Skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
• Collaboration and critical thinking skills alongside dedication to continuos improvement.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Additional Preferences

• Familiar with manufacturing environment especially IR 4.0 principle pillars in smart manufacturing.
