Job Purpose
The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and compliance in project execution, managing document control, and overseeing project repositories. This role ensures adherence to quality standards, conducts audits, and provides governance over documented information processes. Additionally, the role includes data configuration management, ensuring structured data organization and proper system administration of project repositories.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance (QA): Implement, and monitor quality assurance processes in project execution. Ensuring that products or project processes adhere to organization process and standards, industry regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
- Collaboration: Working closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, engineering, and support teams, to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions collaboratively
- Process Asset: Serve as the central governing body for organization-wide document control. Conduct audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to document control processes. Provide training and support to department-level Documented Information Controllers
- Compliance: Develop and maintain document control procedures, guidelines, and best practices. Ensure proper document lifecycle management, version control, and accessibility
- Project Repository & Application Administration: Administer project repositories, ensuring structured data management. Work with the IT infrastructure team to ensure proper application support, maintenance, and upgrades
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in project quality processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with IT, engineering, and project management teams to optimize workflows. Support cross-functional teams in ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security. Standardize and enhance data configuration processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master in Information Technology or equivalent
Relevant Work Experience
- Minimum 1-4 years of experience
Technical Skills
- Experience in quality assurance, document control, or configuration management.
- Familiarity with repository management tools and document control systems (e.g., SVN, JIRA).
- Strong knowledge of compliance standards, audit processes, and quality frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, ISMS, CMMI).
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support teams on quality and document control processes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
