Nanotechnology offers exciting innovations in eco-friendly technologies by providing better responses, higher sensitivity, lower power, lighter weight, robustness and cost effectiveness to devices and systems at nanoscale applications.  By exploiting novel characteristics of nanomaterials, and through manipulations at atomic and molecular levels, our researchers develop highly sensitive devices that could detect analytes at sub-ppm levels,  and versatile Technology Platforms that target a wide range of applications that include Precision Agriculture, Aquaculture, Environmental Monitoring, Medical Point of Care, Health Monitoring, Green Technology Harvester and Energy Storage.

Our current research activities include nanomaterials growth, fabrication of nanostructures, preparation of nanoparticles and nanocomposites, as well as characterisation, testing and integration of innovative nanomaterials and nanostructures in MEMS and NEMS.   Powered by innovations in nanomaterials and nanostructures, MIMOS aims to commercialise its technological breakthroughs in the areas of Nanoelectronics, NEMS, Nanosensors, Nanophotonics, renewable Microenergy and Green Technology.
