Mathematics today occupies such an important position in Science and Technology that some observers have argued that it has begun to lead and direct frontier research. The Applied Mathematics Lab within Strategic Advanced Research (StAR) develops and analyses mathematical models and computer simulations of research problems challenging the various MIMOS research thrust areas such as Network Security, Accelerative Technology, and Wireless Communications.
