Dr. Saat Shukri Embong

President & Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO)

Dr Saat Shukri Embong obtained his first degree in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford, Hartford, CT, USA, in 1994 and he was awarded a Master of Engineering in Mechatronics in 1995. He obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2015.

Dr Saat Shukri spearheaded his career when he joined Motorola Inc in 1995 and moved on to ON Semiconductor Inc in 1998 as the New Product Introduction Program Manager. His vast working experience included his career journey with STATSChipPAC Inc, Infineon Technologies AG, Texas Instrument Inc, and Freescale Semiconductor Inc from 2002 until 2008. In 2009, he joined the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) as Head of Technology for Technology Evaluation and Transfer activities under the Technology Nurturing division. A year later in 2010, he was seconded to the Prime Minister’s Office as the Operation Director, Office of Science Advisor to the Malaysia Prime Minister.

He later joined MIMOS Berhad in 2010 as the Director of Research and led various collaboration programmes with local and international industries, universities and research institutions. In 2013, he led the Technology and Product Portfolio Development and Management Group where he supervised various aspects of strategic activities such as providing market intelligence, identifying technologies and products to be developed by the R&D Group as well as bringing those outputs to market. In 2016, he was tasked to lead MIMOS Strategy Office, providing the overall strategies for the company’s way forward related to Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in line with the national strategy to position Malaysia in the top 20 countries by 2050.

In 2023, Dr Saat Shukri was appointed as Head of the Technology Venture Sector and responsible for collaboration and partnership, commercialisation and talent development efforts and initiatives. Throughout his tremendous career, he has successfully developed various new technologies, products and solutions as well as secured various intellectual properties in the field which qualified him to be included in the 16th Edition MARQUIS’ Who’s Who In The World.

Nurezmy A Majid

Deputy GCEO and Group Chief of Staff

Nurezmy A. Majid exemplifies leadership that seamlessly blends strategic vision, deep technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to national development. In her role as Deputy Group GCEO, she supports the Group President & GCEO on strategic matters related to MIMOS. As Group Chief of Staff, she is entrusted with ensuring the effective execution of the President & GCEO’s strategic vision, aligning organisational priorities with Malaysia’s broader technological, innovation, and R&D aspirations. She also serves as Chairman of MIMOS Nomination and Renumeration Council (MNRC) and Executive Director of MIMOS Holdings Sdn. Bhd., further underscoring her central role in shaping governance, strategy, and value creation across the Group.

Her academic journey, which began at the distinguished Sekolah Tun Fatimah, led her to earn a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from UNITEN and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Essex, UK. These strong academic foundations paved the way for her impactful roles in technology transfer at Flextronics, spearheading new product initiatives and yield enhancement at Infineon, and contributing to policy formulation at the Prime Minister’s Office.

At MIMOS, Nurezmy’s leadership has been pivotal in the development of award-winning sensor technology and the successful establishment of two production facilities—solidifying MIMOS as a leader in advanced sensing solutions. Her contributions extend beyond national borders through her work with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the United Nations (UN) to champion Malaysia’s Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Nurezmy’s instrumental role in formulating transformative policies for MITI and MOSTI, including the Industry4WRD, IoT, E&E Roadmap, and Blockchain Roadmaps, underscores her profound impact on national policy and industry growth. Renowned for her inspiring and collaborative leadership style, she cultivates an environment where innovation thrives and teamwork is celebrated, propelling MIMOS forward as Malaysia’s premier R&D and ICT institution. Abdul Rashdee Abdul Kadir

Deputy GCEO and Group Chief Operating Officer

Abdul Rashdee Abdul Kadir is a seasoned accounting professional with a strong background in corporate management. His journey in the financial sector began in 1991 with a Diploma in Accountancy from MARA Institute of Technology, followed by a Degree in Accountancy from De Montfort University, UK, and an ACCA qualification from Emile Woolf College, UK. Starting at a Big 5 audit firm, he gained solid audit, tax, and corporate recovery expertise.

In 1999, Abdul Rashdee joined MIMOS, a leading applied research and development institution in Malaysia. Over the years, he has made substantial contributions to the organisation, steadily progressing through various roles. Throughout his tenure, Abdul Rashdee has excelled in finance, strategic management, corporate services, and risk management.

As Deputy GCEO, Abdul Rashdee will assist Group President & GCEO on operational matter on the top of his current roles. Abdul Rashdee currently serves as the Group Chief Operating Officer, overseeing essential functions including Group Finance & Procurement, Group Corporate Human Capital, Corporate Planning, Communications & Branding, Group Corporate Quality, Group Legal & Advisory, Integrated Operations, Fab Operations, and Infostructure, Infrastructure, Health, Security, Safety, & Environment.

He serves as a Chairman of the Extended Senior Leadership Team (ESLT), focusing on tactical and operational decision-making.

Dr. Zulaikha Kadim

Group Chief Technology Officer

Dr. Zulaikha Kadim is a distinguished expert in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, bringing over two decades of professional experience. She holds a PhD from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, specialising in the intersection of AI and image processing, and built a career dedicated to translating advanced research into deployable, real-world solutions.

Since joining MIMOS in 2007, Dr. Zulaikha has been a driving force behind national-level R&D initiatives, particularly in intelligent analytics, surveillance systems, and AI-driven platforms. Having served as the Head of the Strategic ICT Division and a Principal Researcher, she provides leadership in aligning cutting-edge ICT and AI programmes with public-sector needs and national economic priorities. Her career journey, from her early years as a lecturer at Multimedia University (MMU) to her current executive role, reflects a deep commitment to both scholarly rigour and industrial application.

An accomplished innovator, Dr. Zulaikha has authored or co-authored over 30 patents and has published extensively in international journals and conferences. Her current focus is on the architecture of large-scale AI systems and applied analytics platforms designed to deliver tangible impact within the public sector.

Dr. Zulaikha is also a prominent figure in Malaysia’s technological governance and academic ecosystem. At the national level, she represents MIMOS on the Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence (NSC 07/TC 17), where she supports the development of policies and governance frameworks for AI in Malaysia. She is also a key industry representative to the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), contributing to the accreditation and quality assurance of technical education.

Deeply invested in nurturing future talent, she maintains active leadership roles across several premier institutions including, External Industry Examiner for Final Year Projects at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP); Industrial Advisor for the Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (BKEE) programme at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Industrial Advisor for the Computer Science programme at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP).

By bridging the gap between academic excellence and industrial scale, Dr. Zulaikha ensures that MIMOS remains at the forefront of Malaysia’s digital and technological transformation.

Ir. Dr. Hazian Mamat

Group Chief Corporate Planning & Strategy

Ir. Dr. Hazian Mamat is an accomplished engineering leader with over 27 years of experience at the intersection of technical innovation and national strategy. As the Group Chief of Corporate Planning & Strategy at MIMOS, he orchestrates the alignment of cutting-edge R&D with Malaysia’s national economic priorities.

Dr. Hazian’s expertise lies in the end-to-end management of complex, multidisciplinary programmes. Having previously led the Technology Development Solutions Office and R&D Planning and Management divisions, he holds a proven track record in overseeing significant national funding mechanisms, including the Strategic Research Fund (SRF) and Rancangan Malaysia (RMK) allocations. By bridging the gap between government agencies like the Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI), MITI, and the Ministry of Economy, he ensured that research initiatives transition effectively from the lab into high-impact, market-ready solutions.

Dr. Hazian’s technical pedigree is rooted in deep expertise across the front-end and back-end of semiconductor fabrication, IC packaging, sensor-based IoT systems, AI-driven IoT systems, and large-scale research project management. A Senior Member of IEEE and a Certified Professional Engineer (PEPC), he maintains a robust portfolio of publications and intellectual property in these domains. By bridging the gap between technical depth and strategic government-industry engagement, Dr. Hazian plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Malaysia’s technological landscape.

Ramesh Kumar Nadarajah

Vice President, International Business Unit

Ramesh Kumar Nadarajah is a distinguished professional with over two decades of extensive experience in the legal and technology sectors. He holds an LL.B from the University of London and a Master’s in Technology Innovation Management from the University of Sussex, grounding his career in a unique blend of intellectual property expertise and technology management.

Currently, Ramesh serves as the Vice President of the International Business Unit, where he focuses on globalising MIMOS’ offerings and establishing the organisation as a respected international technology partner. In this role, he is responsible for international market penetration and the development of strategic overseas partnerships. He directly drives key global vehicles, including MIMOS International Venture Sdn Bhd, and ventures across New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

Prior to his current redesignation, Ramesh served as the Group Chief Strategy Officer, where he played a pivotal role in driving growth and ensuring alignment with the MIMOS Strategic Transformation Plan 2023-2030. He also previously held the position of Acting Head of the Techno Venture Sector. His strategic insights have been instrumental in expanding MIMOS’ reach, with a strong emphasis on viable commercial activities and sustainable technopreneurship.

Throughout his career, Ramesh has been recognised for his proactive approach to fostering innovation through collaboration with industry partners, government agencies, and research institutions. His leadership is characterised by a commitment to operational excellence and integrity, ensuring that technological solutions not only meet current market demands but also anticipate future global trends. With a proven track record of driving commercial viability and international collaboration, Ramesh continues to reinforce his status as an influential figure in the advancement of technology and international business.

Dr. Pannirselvam Kanagaratnam

Vice President, Smart Device and Component Business Unit

Dr. Pannirselvam Kanagaratnam is a distinguished engineer and scientist with a prolific career in the development of cutting-edge radar systems and wireless communication technologies. As a NASA Fellow, his research has accumulated over 3,000 citations, demonstrating a significant impact on the field of radar systems and climate science.

Currently, Dr. Pannirselvam serves as the Vice President of the Smart Device and Component Business Unit, leading a dedicated division focused on rapidly productising and commercialising MIMOS’ hardware technologies. In this hands-on commercial P&L role, he oversees the production and profitability of device technologies to capture market opportunities with speed and scale.

Prior to his current redesignation, Dr. Pannirselvam served as the Group Chief Technology Officer, where he provided high-level technical leadership for the organisation. Since joining MIMOS Berhad in 2008 under the Brain Gain programme, he has held several other senior positions, including Head of the Technology Development & Solutions Sector, Division Head for Advanced Electronics & Embedded Systems, and Department Head for Wireless Communication & Sensor Technology.

Throughout his tenure, he has secured over RM60 million in funding for projects under the RMK-11 and RMK-12 programmes. Under his leadership, his team developed innovative solutions such as Gigabit Wireless Mesh Devices, VHF Long Range Communication Devices, and various IoT systems for smart buildings and manufacturing.

Dr. Pannirselvam received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. (with honours) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas. His academic excellence was recognised with a NASA Fellowship and the Haglund Prize for outstanding dissertation. He previously held the position of Research Professor at the University of Kansas, contributing to NASA and NSF's Cryospheric Science programmes by designing airborne radar systems for measuring glacial ice thickness.

He holds multiple patents in radar systems and antenna technology, with his work published in prestigious journals such as Science and IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing. His global collaborations include NASA, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, the Niels Bohr Institute, and the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC.

Afdzal Syahadat Husin

Chief Executive Officer, MIMOS Technologies Sdn Bhd

Afdzal Syahadat is a highly experienced engineer with extensive expertise in Research and Development (R&D) and Product Innovation across the Telecommunications and Electronics industries. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom (2000).

He began his professional journey with Motorola, where he contributed to the design, testing and development of advanced communication devices, gaining in-depth expertise in hardware design and product development methodologies. A brief tenure at SIRIM provided him with valuable insight into product certification, standards and regulatory compliance. He later joined Jaalaa, a fabless semiconductor company specialising in the design and development of Radio Frequency (RF) product-on-chip solutions for the consumer electronics market. During his tenure there, he gained hands-on exposure to the Integrated Circuit (IC) design process and post-silicon validation.

With a strong foundation in design engineering, R&D and compliance, Syahadat brings to MIMOS Technologies a wealth of technical knowledge, leadership and practical experience spanning the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to validation and commercialisation.

Razman Jaafar

Chief Executive Officer, MIMOS Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

Razman Jaafar is a visionary leader with over a decade of experience in commercialisation, business development, and technology transfer. Armed with a Master’s in Business Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electrical & Electronics from the Institute University Technology, Tours, France, he blends technical expertise with strategic insight to drive impactful solutions.

As CEO of MIMOS Holdings Sdn Bhd, Razman oversees the commercialisation of nearly 100 MIMOS R&D platforms, spanning semiconductors, electronics, and ICT. He spearheads innovation through technology licensing, strategic partnerships, and spin-offs while leading critical government projects aligned with national digital transformation goals.

With a proven track record in big data, cloud solutions, and wireless technologies, Razman has delivered high-impact projects, including a National Healthcare system and RM100 million Big Data systems. His leadership has also driven regional success in telecommunications, fostering collaboration across borders and delivering competitive solutions.

Passionate about innovation, Razman is shaping the future of technology through transformative strategies and collaborative partnerships, advancing Malaysia's technological progress on a global stage.

Fauzi Yahaya

Chief Executive Officer, MIMOS Services Sdn. Bhd.

Fauzi Yahaya joined MIMOS in 2007 as a Director with responsibilities to set up capabilities for Product Development. He graduated from George Washington University, Washington D.C. with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1989. He has vast experience in technical and management roles encompassing R&D, Product Development, E&E Solution Integration, and Manufacturing. His leadership roles have marked significant accomplishments to MIMOS such as spearheading the development of the REEV motorcycle, Netbook 1Malaysia programme and Wireless Sensor Network for Precision Agriculture. He has led the Design team towards recognition as the 3rd World Most Innovative Design Studio by Red Dot Germany in 2014.

Since taking the helm of CEO of MSSB, he has focused the transformation plan toward profitability and self-sustenance through the commercialisation of MIMOS products and technologies, services and future-proof activities and solutions in decarbonisation, energy efficiency and Managed Services.

Wan Ahmad Jafri Wan Abdul Aziz

Chief Executive Officer, MIMOS Solutions Sdn. Bhd.

Wan Ahmad Jafri holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Electronics from Universiti Sains Malaysia (1994) and an MBA from Universiti Utara Malaysia (2011). With over two decades of experience, he has developed broad expertise across technical, management, and business development roles.

He began his career at Sony, gaining foundational experience in the technology industry, before moving on to Telekom Malaysia, TMNet, and Alcatel Lucent. At these renowned organisations, he worked on diverse projects, including technical pre-sales, customer solutions development, and managing large-scale service provider strategies. His work also included developing bid strategies and supporting business development and operations.

Since joining MIMOS in 2010, he has contributed to several major national projects, bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical business needs. Currently, he focuses on solutions sales and business development for the public sector, leading initiatives that improve government services and enhance public sector efficiency, aligning technology with strategic business goals.

Azhar Abu Talib

Chief Executive Officer, My Blockchain Infrastructure Sdn. Bhd.

Azhar Abu Talib is a veteran Malaysian technologist and public-sector innovator with over 26 years of service at MIMOS Berhad.

He specialises in developing and deploying national-scale digital trust platforms and secure transaction systems. His current focus areas include Verifiable Credentials (VC/DID), Sovereign Digital Identity, and blockchain-anchored solutions for areas like anti-scalping. He also leads initiatives in big data and cybersecurity for regulated industries.

During his tenure at MIMOS, Azhar delivered mission-critical solutions, spanning analytics, identity, and credential systems, to major government agencies, including the Royal Malaysia Police, Ministry of Finance, Immigration Department of Malaysia, and Ministry of Health, Malaysia.

He holds a B.S. in Computer Science (minor in Mathematics) from Ohio University, where he received multiple academic awards. His technical contributions are evident in his peer-reviewed papers on trusted computing and patents related to cryptographic methods and secure platforms.

Anjana Devi N Kuppusamy

Chief Executive Officer, MIMOS Network Sdn. Bhd.

Anjana Devi N Kuppusamy is a dynamic leader with over 22 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance (QA), and Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V). As the Chief Executive Officer of MIMOS Network Sdn Bhd, she oversees the strategic direction of software quality initiatives, ensuring that Malaysia’s digital platforms meet the highest global standards of reliability, security, and performance.

With a career foundation in high-stakes manufacturing services for global leaders like Intel Corporation and Philips Semiconductor, Anjana brings a rigorous, process-driven approach to the ICT sector. Over her 15-year tenure at MIMOS Berhad, she has been a visionary force in the evolution of IV&V, managing a diverse portfolio of over 75 organisations and positioning MIMOS as the nation’s premier software verification provider. Her technical contributions are validated by three patents and seven publications, reflecting her commitment to advancing industry best practices.

Anjana’s leadership is defined by her dedication to building high-performing, inclusive teams. She has successfully established a versatile testing and delivery unit, where she actively champions women’s empowerment and career development. By creating strategic opportunities for women to lead high-impact projects, she has cultivated a workforce that has supported more than 200 platforms across multiple domains, including eGovernment, Fintech, eCommerce, M-Commerce, National Defense, and Verifiable Credentials.

Beyond her corporate role, Anjana is a key architect of Malaysia’s national software standards. Appointed by Standards Malaysia, she has shaped accreditation standards for software testing laboratories and co-authored the National IV&V Handbook (2016, MAMPU). Her prior service on the Malaysian Software Testing Hub Technical Committee (2016–2019) underscores her influence in strengthening the nation’s digital resilience.

Anjana holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Her expertise is further bolstered by a suite of professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level), IRCA ISO 9000 Lead Auditor, and Train the Trainer.
