Senior Executive

Job Purpose

The Technical Writer (Senior Executive, NR6) provides editorial and content development support for MIMOS Berhad and its subsidiaries by producing clear, accurate, and engaging written materials that communicate technology solutions, innovation initiatives, and corporate narratives.

This role focuses on developing promotional, marketing, and editorial content, including technology descriptions, articles, and corporate materials that translate technical information into accessible and audience-friendly content. The position supports organisational storytelling while ensuring consistency with MIMOS’ branding, messaging, and publication standards.

Accountability:

1. Editorial Content Development

• Research, draft, edit, and proofread editorial and promotional materials for MIMOS Berhad and its subsidiaries.
• Develop articles, feature stories, corporate write-ups, and innovation-related content.
• Produce content for publications, digital platforms, and corporate communication materials.
• Ensure clarity, readability, and consistency in written outputs.

2. Technology & Product Content Writing

• Translate technical and R&D information into simplified, audience-friendly narratives.
• Work closely with researchers, engineers, and business units to gather technical inputs.
• Develop technology descriptions, solution overviews, and innovation summaries for corporate and marketing use.

3. Marketing & Promotional Content Support

Support development of marketing collateral, including:

• Product and technology descriptions
• Corporate profiles and brochures
• Campaign and promotional materials
• Website and digital content
• Ensure alignment with corporate branding and editorial standards.

4. Editorial Quality Assurance

• Perform proofreading and editing to ensure accuracy, grammar quality, and message consistency.
• Maintain adherence to MIMOS editorial guidelines and corporate voice.
• Ensure accuracy of technical terminology and factual information.

5. Content Operations Support

• Support editorial planning and content production timelines.
• Assist the Group Content, PR & Media Unit in delivering timely communication outputs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of editorial workflows and documentation practices.

(PR and media management involvement is minimal and limited to supporting functions when required.)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in: Language Studies, OR Communication, OR Public Relations, Journalism, or related disciplines.

Work Experience

• 2–3 years of writing or editorial experience in communications, publishing, media, marketing content, or related fields.
• Fresh graduates with demonstrated writing capability, internship experience, or strong writing portfolios will also be considered, but will be grade Executive NR5.

Added Advantage:

• Experience writing for technology, science, innovation, or digital publications.
• Experience producing promotional or marketing content.
• Exposure to editorial or publishing environments.
