AI Researcher

Job Purpose

The position is for the Conversational AI Lab with expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs) to drive research and development in next-generation conversational AI applications. The researcher will work on designing, fine-tuning, and optimizing LLMs for chatbots, virtual assistants, enterprise AI, and multimodal AI systems. As part of our Conversational AI Lab, the researcher will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to build AI-powered solutions that enhance user interactions, automate tasks, and provide human-like responses.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct research in deep learning, transformers, and generative AI. Develop, fine-tune, and optimize LLMs (GPT, LLaMA, Falcon, Mistral, etc.). Design and implement custom architectures for NLP, vision-language models, and multimodal AI.

2. Explore LLM fine-tuning, instruction tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Apply quantization, pruning, and distillation to improve model efficiency. Experiment with RLHF (Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback).

3. Train and deploy models on cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and edge AI hardware (Jetson, TPU, FPGAs). Build scalable AI pipelines using PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, and LangChain. Implement efficient inference using ONNX, TensorRT, and Triton Inference Server.

4. Develop models that integrate text, vision, and speech processing. Experiment with GANs, VAEs, diffusion models, and transformer-based generative models. Work on creative AI applications like text-to-image, text-to-video, and AI-generated avatars.

5. Publish findings in top AI conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL, etc.). Contribute to open-source AI projects and repositories. Collaborate with industry partners, universities, and AI research labs.

Qualifications

  • Possess PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Relevant Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 10 years experience in deep learning algorithms and software development
  • Experience in research paper publication and patent drafting
  • Experience in leading a team and demostrates leadership skills

Required Competencies and Skills

  • Strong background in Deep Learning, Transformers, and Large Language Models.
  • Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Experience with LLM fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and reinforcement learning (RLHF).
  • Knowledge of scalable AI deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, NVIDIA Triton, TensorRT, ONNX).
  • Familiarity with vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate) and embeddings for search/RAG.
  • Strong problem-solving and research capabilities in AI, NLP, and generative models.

Travel Requirement

  • Travel will typically be scheduled based on project needs.
