Security Guard

Job Purpose

The Security Guard is responsible to protect organizational personnel, assets, information, and facilities by executing established security controls, maintaining vigilance over assigned premises, enforcing access governance requirements, and responding effectively to security-related incidents, thereby contributing to as secure, compliant, and resilient operating environment that supports business continuity and operational intergrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Access Control Governance

  • Enforce access control requirements governing employees, visitors, contractors, vehicles, and deliveries within assigned facilities to protect organizational assets and mitigate unauthorized access risks.

2. Security Monitoring and Threat Detection

  • Monitor facility activities, security systems, and assigned operational areas to identify potential security threats, irregularities, or policy violations and facilitate timely escalation of security concerns.

3. Physical Security Assurance

  • Execute patrol and inspection activities across assigned premises to maintain security visibility, identify vulnerabilities, and strengthen the overall effectiveness of physical security controls.

4. Incident and Risk Response

  • Respond to security incidents, suspicious activities, safety concerns, and emergency situations within assigned areas to minimize operational disruption and support the protection of personnel and assets.

5. Security Compliance Enforcement

  • Ensure adherence to approved security policies, procedures, and site regulations to maintain a secure, controlled, and compliant operating environment.

6. Visitor and Contractor Governance

  • Administer visitor and contractor access requirements in accordance with established security protocols to ensure accountability, traceability, and compliance with organizational security standards.

7. Security Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and complete records of security incidents, patrol activities, visitor transactions, and access control activities to support governance requirements, audit readiness, and operational accountability.

8. Emergency Response Execution

  • Execute assigned responsibilities during emergencies, evacuations, crisis situations, and business continuity events to support organizational resilience and personnel safety.

9. Asset Protection and Loss Prevention

  • Monitor and safeguard facilities, infrastructure, equipment, and other organizational assets within assigned areas to reduce exposure to theft, damage, loss, or unauthorized use.

10. Operational Security Readiness

  • Maintain readiness to perform assigned security responsibilities across designated locations and operational requirements to ensure continuous security coverage and service continuity.

11. Other Duties

  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Security or management.

Qualification

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia/S.P.M or equivalent qualification.

Professional Qualification

  • Security Guard certification or equivalent security-related qualifications are advantageous.
  • Former Police Force, Armed Forces, or law enforcement personnel with relevant security training and experience are preferred.

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in security operations, facility security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
  • Candidates with relevant security training and demonstrated aptitude may be considered.

  • Knowledge in handling all security systems.
  • Knowledge in Crisis management and response.
  • Excelent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge First aider.
  • Basic knowledge Firedrill /Bomba.
  • Security Operations Leadership.
