MIMOS recently welcomed four distinguished visitors, underscoring its pivotal role in Malaysia’s technological advancement and growing international collaborations. These high-profile engagements provided critical opportunities for strategic alignment and potential new partnerships. On 30 April 2025, MIMOS hosted the new Secretary-General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), YBhg. Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad, marking a crucial step in aligning MIMOS’ strategic direction with the national technology agenda. This was followed on 7 May 2025 by the visit of H.E. Mr. Anvar Anarbaev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic, signalling MIMOS’ expanding international reach and potential for diplomatic technology exchanges.
The engagements continued with the visit of YBhg. Dato’ Romli bin Ishak, Chairman of Cyberview Sdn Bhd, on 16 May 2025, highlighted synergies in developing Malaysia’s technology hubs and smart city initiatives. Rounding out this series of important visits, Dr S. Jagathratchagan, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Tamil Nadu, graced MIMOS on 19 May 2025, further emphasising the institution’s regional influence. These collective visits powerfully reinforced MIMOS’ central position within Malaysia’s technological ecosystem, actively fostering both national growth through innovation and vital global connectivity.
