The final quarter of 2025 saw MIMOS operating at an intense pace, hosting a high-impact series of international and strategic industry engagements that solidified our position as Malaysia’s premier R&D hub. Our facilities became a focal point for global collaboration, welcoming key delegations from Asia and beyond, including Kyung Lim Holding (South Korea), IEC Japan, and the China IT Delegation, all aimed at exploring technology transfer and R&D partnerships in areas like AI, Smart Factory solutions, and Graphene applications.
MIMOS strengthened ties with international technology leaders like Intel Corporation, focusing on collaboration within the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS), and hosted innovative firms like Ugo Inc. (Japan) and Furiosa AI to advance our robotics and artificial intelligence initiatives. This flurry of diplomatic and technological exchange underlines MIMOS’ commitment to attracting world-class expertise and aligning with global tech frontiers.
Equally important was the deep dive into the local talent ecosystem, with MIMOS actively engaging the Quadruple Helix partners across government, academia, and industry. MIMOS welcomed a robust rotation of students and faculty from over a dozen local institutions, including Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), UCSI University, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and Taylor’s University.
These knowledge-sharing sessions provided vital real-world exposure to our advanced technologies and design processes, helping shape future-ready engineers.
Furthermore, high-level engagements with strategic industry partners, such as MTDC, GIRN 2.0, and the Efflean Group, ensured our research portfolios remain aligned with national industry needs and commercialisation goals. This concentrated effort guarantees that MIMOS is not only developing innovative solutions but also securing the necessary talent and strategic alignments to drive Malaysia’s high-tech future.
