MIMOS Berhad propelled its role as a premier driver of technological thought leadership by participating in the high-profile Innovation Conference 2026, held at the Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) from 3 to 4 June 2026. Centred around the pivotal question, ‘How do we move from talking about innovation to truly running it?’, the event united industry speakers, practitioners, and experts from Malaysia, Australia, and Japan. The dynamic forum provided a powerful platform to exchange perspectives, surface implementation challenges, and explore how to transform abstract ideas into structured leadership, culture, and execution systems.
The conference featured an elite line-up of global organisations, including PMO Innovations, Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC), STRATOVATION Australia, Japan Innovation Network, NexonAI, ViTrox College, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Motorola Solutions Malaysia, B. Braun Medical Industries, and Dell Technologies. Representing MIMOS Berhad on this global stage, Mensely Cheah, Head of Group Corporate Quality, was an invited speaker and panellist delivering an impactful session entitled ‘Designing the Innovation Engine: Implementing ISO 56001 in Practice.’ She shared the organisation’s practical blueprints for transitioning from ad-hoc, fragmented innovation activities toward a coherent, scalable corporate engine.
Mensely captivated the audience by demonstrating that sustained innovation success requires deliberate system design, clear governance, and structured processes rather than mere chance. She emphasised the importance of shifting corporate thinking from optimising the status quo to asking, ‘What should exist next?’ Furthermore, she highlighted how MIMOS successfully operationalised ISO 56001:2024 to systemise innovation processes, adopt opportunity-first risk models, use AI to institutionalise practices, and advance national AI stewardship initiatives through capability building. Powerfully showcasing MIMOS’ transformation journey reinforced the organisation’s belief that structured innovation management builds sustainable future capabilities, demonstrating that true innovation flourishes when ecosystems, trust, and action collide.
