MIMOS Tech Talks Inspire Global Thinking and Venture Investment Strategies

MIMOS hosted two Tech Talk sessions to help bridge advanced engineering with commercial execution. The series began on 9 March 2026 with a session by globally recognised nanoelectronics expert and IEEE Life Fellow, Prof. Simon Deleonibus. Delivering a presentation titled ‘Nanoelectronics and Nanosystems Device Engineering for Sustainability in the Energy and Variability Efficiency (E.V.E) Era: Scopes for Local Action and Global Thinking,’ Prof. Deleonibus explored the evolution of nanosystems and highlighted how these global technological trends align with MIMOS’ focus on sustainable, energy-efficient innovations.

The second session took place on 13 March 2026, featuring Zehan Teoh, Chief Operating Officer of Intrinsic SEA Sdn Bhd. Drawing on his experience in designing capital systems that connect policy and investments with long-term strategic advantages, Zehan discussed why fundraising is fundamentally a systems and platform challenge rather than a matter of individual skills. The session offered participants practical perspectives on how organisations can better position themselves within evolving capital and innovation ecosystems.

The MIMOS Tech Talk series continued on 17 March 2026 with a session focused on turning laboratory breakthroughs into market deployment. Featuring Shahrizan Abd Latif, Founder of Mindstraits Sdn Bhd, the talk addressed the theme ‘From Technology Research to Venture Investments’. Shahrizan shared practical insights on transforming R&D outcomes into investable commercial enterprises, discussing key investor considerations, fundraising strategies, and the mechanics of building innovation-driven businesses to help accelerate technology commercialisation.
