Talent Development

On top of R&D, MIMOS focuses on nurturing next generation talent pool as well as reskilling and upskilling our serving workforce through the provision of facilities, resources and expertise in advanced technologies. MIMOS offers industry-standard public training programmes that cover E&E, 4IR and industrial design-related skills for the future workforce.

With over 20 years of experience in Wafer Fabrication, Failure Analysis, Wafer & IC Testing, and IC Design, MIMOS offers on-the-job, high-end customised training schemes based on real industry needs at its world-standard Semiconductor Technology Centre (STC).

Our courses emphasised hands-on experience with a 20% theory and 80% practical training ratio. To date, we have trained more than 1,200 engineers to become highly qualified experts in semiconductors.

Deeptech and Futureskills Upskilling and Reskilling is a strategic initiative by MOSTI under the National Employment Council (NEC). The main goals are job creation and placement programme that targets 5,000 Malaysians especially those affected by Covid-19 pandemic. This programme allows individuals to improve skills and gain industry experience in areas related to science, technology and innovation in line with 10-10 MySTIE framework which aims to increase the marketability of participants and ensure job placement.

The structured Internship Programme was established to create a platform for students to be trained in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and ICT fields. Each student will be given an individually tailored Training Plan and will be involved in one of our research projects to enhance the student learning experience.
