MIMOS International Venture Sdn Bhd (MIVSB) and Turkish defence giant HAVELSAN entered a landmark partnership to co-develop a robust national ecosystem dedicated to localised foundational AI. The comprehensive Teaming Agreement, signed on 20 April 2026 during the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2026 exhibition, marks a profound synergy between Malaysia and Türkiye.
This initiative combines MIVSB’s deep-tech innovation with HAVELSAN’s expertise in software-intensive systems and operational architectures, seamlessly integrating capabilities across infrastructure, technology, and market engagement. Fully supporting MOSTI’s vision, the collaboration propels Malaysia towards its aspiration of becoming a frontrunner in frontier technologies and AI-driven intelligence. Speaking on the significance of the alliance, Mohamad Azriani Abd Aziz, Managing Director of MIVSB, emphasised that the partnership represents a major milestone to globalise Malaysian innovation, ensuring the nation remains at the forefront of the digital economy through sustainable technological co-creation.
