Inspiring Little Minds at MJA’s Open Day 2026

MIMOS Junior Academy (MJA) hosted its Open Day on 22 August 2026, welcoming approximately 20 prospective families to explore its STEM-focused learning environment, facilities, and programmes ahead of the 2027 intake. MIMOS Education Sdn Bhd (MESB) Chief Executive Officer, Pn Nur Sakinah Abdul Samad, delivered the opening remarks, followed by an operational briefing from MJA Principal, Pn Sharifah Suhailah Syed Nasir.

During the session, Teacher Lin (Fazlini Din) introduced homegrown MIMOS technologies embedded within the academy, including Mi-KidzAlert, a connected child safety system featuring facial and licence plate recognition, and the Indoor Tracking System (ITS) for real-time movement monitoring. While parents learned about these practical innovations, MJA teachers guided children through hands-on STEM activities, such as assembling simple electronic circuits and building paper helicopters, before Pn Suhailah led a full tour of the premises.

The event enabled families to proceed directly with enrollment for the 2027 intake, supported at registration counters by MJA Operations Executive, Farah Natasya Mohd Safuan, and Teacher Nana (Izzati Liyana Salim). Demonstrating strong demand for MJA’s early childhood approach, 70 students confirmed their registration against a target cohort of 75 learners, leaving just five places available.

The encouraging response reflects continued interest in MJA’s approach to nurturing young learners through a combination of early childhood education, STEM exploration and real-world exposure to innovation. For MESB, the incoming 2027 cohort represents another opportunity to nurture curious, confident and creative young learners, while introducing them to an environment where they can explore ideas, solve problems and develop the foundations needed to become the innovators of tomorrow.
