MIMOS Snippets2026-issue-3

Strengthening the Workplace Through Better People Practices

Throughout June and July 2026, MIMOS executed a targeted series of human capital development sessions aimed at refining workplace standards, strengthening regulatory compliance, and elevating talent acquisition strategies. The initiative opened on 25 June 2026 with the ‘HR Clinic: Commitment, Engagement & Responsibility.’ Designed to encourage candid dialogue, the interactive clinic provided MIMOSians with practical frameworks to foster individual accountability, enhance cross-departmental collaboration, and nurture a resilient organisational culture.

Building upon this cultural foundation, MIMOS conducted a comprehensive Industrial Relations (IR) knowledge session on 1 July 2026. The training provided participants with an in-depth exploration of workplace compliance, employment laws, and industrial relations best practices. By clarifying statutory requirements and grievance resolution mechanisms, the session equipped managers and team leaders to maintain a fair, transparent, and harmonious work environment.

Closing the series on 29 July 2026, Group Human Capital (GCHC) organised an edition of the ‘HR APA CER’ programme focusing specifically on ‘How to Create an Effective Job Description.’ Recognising that successful recruitment begins with clear expectations, the workshop trained hiring managers to craft precise, impactful job profiles. Participants explored techniques to define key performance indicators accurately, ensuring that upcoming talent sourcing efforts directly align with organisational needs.

Through this cohesive series of workshops, MIMOS demonstrated that operational excellence relies heavily on continuous human resource alignment. By pairing cultural engagement with rigorous industrial compliance and modern talent acquisition practices, the organisation reinforced its internal capabilities to support a high-performing workforce.
