Building Trusted Intelligence for a More Resilient Digital Nation

On 8 July 2026, MIMOS hosted the National Dialogue on Trusted Intelligence, bringing together policymakers, industry pioneers, technical specialists, and key decision-makers for an intensive strategic workshop. The gathering focused directly on shaping the execution framework for key initiatives under the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK-13). Designed as an action-oriented platform rather than a conventional forum, the session facilitated deep-dive discussions into seven central projects intended to build a secure, resilient, and future-ready digital ecosystem for the nation.

During the session, MIMOS Berhad’s President and Group Chief Executive Officer Dr. Saat Shukri Embong emphasised that meaningful technological progress stems from candid, practical dialogue regarding the real vulnerabilities organisations face today. He highlighted the necessity of co-creating trusted intelligence through tangible use cases, addressing sector-specific operational risks, and ensuring advanced technologies remain accessible across institutions of varying sizes and technical maturity.

Reaffirming the national policy alignment, YBhg. Pn Norsham Abdul Latip, Deputy Secretary-General (Technology Development) at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), outlined the imperative of a whole-of-society model. She articulated how government policy frameworks, private sector investment, academic research, and civil society must work in unison to keep digital innovation inclusive and ethical.

In bridging policy direction with technical execution, the National Dialogue on Trusted Intelligence reinforced MIMOS’ position as a strategic connective tissue between research capabilities and national economic priorities. The initiative closed with a shared commitment to turn multi-sector dialogue into practical partnerships, laying down a robust foundation for long-term public trust and digital resilience.
